A CSR journey: overcome educational challenges and achieve the full potential

At Yonder, we recognize that education is the foundation of a thriving community and a prosperous future. Our dedication to empowering education is demonstrated through strategic projects designed to reduce school dropout rates, to promote lifelong learning and technological innovation. By partnering with committed organizations in Cluj and Iași, we aim to equip students with essential knowledge and skills, fostering their personal growth and contributing to the overall development of our community. 

 

Key initiatives and achievements

  

1. “Together for Education” Project with COTE Foundation (Iași) 

  • Focus: Assisting middle and high-school students in disadvantaged areas and promoting equal access to quality education. 
  • Activities: Personal development workshops, motivational education sessions, field trips, summer schools, yearly scholarships, and material support (meals, hygiene products, Christmas packages). 
  • Duration: 10 years 
  • Impact:
    • Afterschool (2014-2023), Middle School – 78 children; 
    • Scholarship (2016-2023), High-School – 35 children.  
  • Collaboration: The project has been supported from the start alongside one of our valued clients and partners, PinkRoccade Local Government (Netherlands). 

 

 

2. Professor Gheorghe Balaci Association (Cluj) 

  • Focus: Reducing school dropout rates in rural areas and supporting students to continue their studies at high school and university levels. 
  • Projects and activities: 
  • “Adopt a School! Change a community!”: Provides additional classes in Mathematics and Romanian,  
  • “10 in High School”: Support high school students with extra classes in Math and Romanian, financial education and personal development. Reward top performers with monthly scholarships. 
  • Duration: 5 years 
  • Impact: The “Adopt a School” project at Simion Balint General School in Copăceni has seen all six 8th-grade students involved (almost 30) pass their Final Evaluation and prepare for high school.  Meanwhile, the 15 high-school students from Aurel Vlaicu Technological High School have successfully passed the Baccalaureate exam.

  • Extra activities made possible in collaboration with the Yonderists: Digital competencies sessions, short trips, football matches, office visits and talks, Christmas campaigns, and more.  

Total sum donated to reduce school dropout rates in the last 10 years: Over 170,000 EUR

4. Peppers Robotics Team (Computer Science High School ”Grigore Moisil”, Iași) 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • Focus: Supporting young talents and robotics innovation. 
  • Impact: Encouraging over 50 students to pursue their interests in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics, leading to excellent performance in national and international competitions. 
  • Extra activities: Competition demos, Kids Day demos – both organized in our office. 

Total sum donated to promote technological innovation in the last 2 years: 14,000 EUR

We also empower those with a passion for innovation and technology to reach their full potential. Together with our partners and volunteers, we are making a lasting impact on the lives of children in Iași and Cluj, nurturing their potential and paving the way for a brighter future.
