This is the third article in our ongoing CSR series, where we take time each quarter to reflect on the impact we’ve made together under the umbrella of #yonderdoinggood.
In Q1, we explored Learning & Happiness, transforming knowledge into care and presence into impact. Q2 brought Earth Mindfulness, an invitation to act with awareness and intention – for us, the others, and the planet. And now, in Q3, we have turned to something just as powerful: Friendship & Giving Back. It was a season shaped by warm connections and collective purpose, a time of coming together, stepping into new roles, and finding meaning through shared action. We joined forces to build, walk, mentor, and listen.
Here’s a look at some of the meaningful initiatives from this past quarter:
Guiding future leaders through real-world challenges & AI exploration
In August, we joined The Leadership School by LEADERS Foundation to guide 26 of Romania’s most promising young leaders in designing an interactive, tech-powered experience for kids visiting a real blueberry farm in Sibiu. Before receiving their brief, participants attended an AI Literacy session, a spoiler-free crash course that covered key concepts, tools, and responsible practices for working with AI. It was also their first meeting with the Yonder mentors leading the challenge: two of our colleagues. Equipped with the right tools and guidance, they dove into the challenge. The result, created in just one day, was impressive:
🫐 Afinel, a friendly mascot sharing stories through video/audio
🫐 Interactive quizzes placed along a defined trail
🫐 An AI assistant ready to answer curious questions
The entire experience is now live on-site, accessible via QR codes placed throughout the plantation, blending nature, storytelling, and technology in a way that sparks both learning and joy.
One week. One home. One fresh start for a family in need
In just seven days, the Homes of Hope Association built a new house in Dragu, Sălaj, offering a fresh start to a family in need. We were proud to be part of this journey – first by turning steps from last autumn’s internal walking challenge into donations that supported the construction, and then by showing up on-site for a day of hands-on help. We worked alongside the Homes of Hope team, met the family, and brought joy to the children with small gifts. Later, we returned for the most emotional moment of all: handing over the keys. Watching the family step into their new home was a powerful reminder that every step, every effort, and every act of kindness truly matters. Next up: more steps, another home, and another chance to make a difference. Continue reading!
Steps for Hope – walking with purpose
The home in Dragu was the first we helped build through our internal walking challenge. But the impact it created set something bigger in motion. So this year, we gave the initiative a name that reflects its true purpose: Steps for Hope. Since September 15, 76 colleagues in 19 teams have been walking not just for fitness or fun, but to raise funds for the next home we’ll build together. After three weeks, we had already raised €10,500, powered by friendly competition and a shared desire to turn steps into shelter. The finish line is October 12, but the real reward is what we’re walking toward.
Autumn restart – Cybersecurity sessions for cancer patients
Giving back can also mean sharing knowledge, especially when it helps protect others. On September 16, we restarted our cybersecurity awareness sessions at Casa Filip, a shelter that offers care and support for cancer patients and their families. Led by our Security Manager, with a colleague joining for the first time, the session focused on real-life fraud scenarios and practical tips for staying safe online. This was the first edition open to colleagues, and we’ll continue to share upcoming dates and extend the invitation, depending on availability. The welcoming setting creates space for open discussions, stories, and a genuine desire to return.
YonderWell on changing lives through the NGOs we support
On September 18, nearly 70 colleagues joined a special YonderWell session where we heard directly from three of the NGOs we proudly support and work with: COTE Foundation, Help Others Help, and Homes of Hope. From powerful impact stories to volunteering reflections and upcoming ways to get involved, the session highlighted just how meaningful these partnerships are, and how our support helps create real, lasting change. Let’s just say… a few tears were shed. And for good reason.
Looking ahead
Friendship & Giving Back reminded us of the strength that comes from walking together, giving together, and showing up for one another, in small ways and big ones. As we enter the final quarter of 2025, we shift our focus to a new theme: Be Present & Festive, a time to slow down, celebrate, and continue building meaningful impact together. Stay close. The best is yet to come. Stay close. There is more to come.
