Presence that uplifts, joy that stays: CSR Highlights Q4

October-December 2025

This is the final article in our 2025 CSR series, where we take a moment each quarter to reflect on the good we’ve done together under the umbrella of #yonderdoinggood.

In Q1, we explored Learning & Happiness. Q2 brought Earth Mindfulness. In Q3, we focused on Friendship & Giving Back. As the year ended, Q4 invited us to pause, stay grounded in the moment, and embrace the festive season through kindness, presence, and shared purpose.

Here’s how we chose to be present and festive for our communities, for one another, and for the causes that matter:

Community health gala: supporting public health initiatives with real community impact

On October 10, we proudly supported the first edition of the Community Health Gala, organized by the Department of Public Health, Babeș-Bolyai University. The event celebrated impactful public health initiatives, and Yonder sponsored the Grand Prize. Our colleague Anca Cuc joined as both a jury member and panel contributor, sharing insights on the role of tech in advancing health and wellbeing.

Our partnership with the Department began in 2024, when we funded the renovation of a study room, driven by the belief that investments in education and health are mutually beneficial. Continuing our support through this gala was a natural step, and we look forward to growing this partnership further.

Yonder Buddy Program: Career orientation sessions & self-discovery

For 11 years, we’ve proudly partnered with COTE Foundation, supporting their mission to guide children and teens from vulnerable backgrounds through education and life skills. This fall, we took that partnership one step further by reactivating a hands-on, volunteer-based approach that brings us closer to the students as mentors, listeners, and encouragers. We called it 𝐘𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐁𝐮𝐝𝐝𝐲, a pilot project built around time, care, and shared experiences.

Phase 1 focused on career exploration and self-discovery:
• Two groups of students (middle and high school) visited our Yonder office in Iași, where they learned how an IT company works and met the people behind the software.
• We then visited Ceplenița. Through games, open conversations, and a career orientation session based on the Holland test (led by one of our colleagues), the students reflected on their strengths, interests, and values.

Phase 2 is already in the making. Our colleagues are now preparing workshops to help the students design their own community impact projects, guided by their Yonder Buddies.

Creating meaningful learning experiences – Dragu & Gârbău students

We first met the students from Dragu and Gârbău when they visited our office, and they stayed with us, in our thoughts and hearts. That’s why, this fall, we wanted to do something more. Together with ELS Association, we created a series of extracurricular experiences designed to open new worlds, experiences these students wouldn’t normally have access to.

Some highlights:
• A critical thinking session at the Cluj County Library: Books vs. Internet/AI
• A birdhouse-building workshop with an architect
• A cybersecurity session with our team + visit to the Steampunk Museum
• A Christmas ornament workshop at a local restaurant + visit to the Art Museum
• A sweet and simple Waffle Day at the Dragu school
• And to end the year: caroling + gift-giving at the Yonder office, followed by a private cinema Christmas experience

Small moments, big joy.

“Adopt a Class” – Renovating a Classroom at the High School of Informatics in Iași

This year, we kicked off a new educational project together with the “Grigore Moisil” Theoretical High School of Informatics in Iaşi, where we set out to renovate a classroom. Things quickly got rolling, the renovation work was in full swing, and last month we added the final touches together with the students and officially opened the Yonder Classroom.

Our support and involvement in educational projects all come down to one goal: giving the new generation plenty of opportunities, the right tools, and a supportive environment to learn, explore their abilities, and look at the world with curiosity and a desire to grow.

Cooking for Charity – 10 Years of good food & good deeds

We couldn’t end the year without gathering around the table once more for Cooking for Charity, the Yonder event where we cook with love, enjoy good food, and contribute to causes that matter. This time, we’re also marking a special milestone: 10 years of showing up, sharing meals, and doing good together. To match the occasion, we’ve chosen a theme that’s just as meaningful: Favourite Treats.

In 10 years of Cooking for Charity:
• 64 colleagues have proposed 130 causes
• We’ve supported 77 of them
• And donated a total of ~€132,000, with €65,000 dedicated to children’s healthcare. This is why our focus returned to the healthcare sector – raising funds for medical equipment for newborns, children, and mothers.

10 years of cooking, sharing, and making a difference together.

Christmas Campaign 2025 – Spreading joy

As every year, we wrapped up 2025 with a special tradition: our Christmas Campaign. Thanks to the generosity of our colleagues, 109 children received gifts this year:
• 99 students from the schools in Dragu & Gârbău (Cluj)
• 10 children from the COTE Foundation’s educational program (Iași)

Beyond the presents, it was about being there – showing up, sharing warmth, and reminding each child they matter.

Looking back, looking forward

This final quarter was a celebration of presence — of being there for one another, of ending the year with purpose, and of holding space for joy, generosity, and reflection.

Thank you to every colleague who contributed their time, energy, creativity, and heart in 2025. Together, we’ve built more than projects. We’ve built connections, trust, and real impact. And we can’t wait to do it all again in 2026.
