QULI – winner of the 2015 Computable Awards in the category Healthcare

QULI stands for Quality of Life. It is a platform created to give an impulse to the use of e-health by civilians. The platform started at the beginning of 2013, is an initiative by five care providers. It is based on three pillars: a secure social network, a personal healthcare dossier and an open source app store, where apps can be placed to support the client. Ordina is responsible for the development and Yonder co-developed the project for Ordina.

The platform is free for civilians, and general practitioners and care organizations need to pay a fee. The objective is for the civilians to become more self-supporting and for the care providers to increase efficiency. The initiators believe that the care providers can save 20% on the number of hours they put in by using QULI.

QULI currently has 6,000 users and is rapidly growing. The initiators aim to have 30,000 users at 30 care centers by the end of the year.

Computable Awards – jury perspective
The platform has been nominated as it is pioneering in the way it combines social media and e-health and as it is uniquely designed for the target audience. It also has a great impact on the way care is provided. When QULI is widely distributed, then this will lead to a different way in which care is provided and a deeper involvement of the civilians.
