Remus Pereni – 30 yonderful moments

Over the course of three decades, Yonder had become synonymous with dedication, and the following story reinforces that reputation. Remus Pereni, Chief of Technology Officer, a professional with a wealth of experience, had been an integral part of the Yonder family for quite some time. You won’t ever hear this from him, but he had contributed to the company’s growth and success, witnessing firsthand the incredible achievements we had 

Today, he is telling us a story about success, teamwork, and real passion.

”In software, we don’t very often have quick results. The process requires diligent work and persistence to transform droplets of effort into real products. I don’t recall all the projects I worked on in the past decades, but I do remember distinct, specific moments of triumph and achievement. The story I am just about to tell also speaks out loud about the passion and dedication of the Yonderists, and probably that is why it remains so alive in my mind (and one of my favorites).

The development team in Cluj was crafting a new, modern SAAS product, and their efforts clicked together with the work done by the DevOps team in Iasi, who was working on building a private cloud infrastructure to host a new application. Somewhere along our innovative journey, we encountered a unique challenge: due to regulatory constraints, the new solution had to be up and running by the 1st of January 2015, serving over 40 municipalities 

We had our last meeting with the customer and the Iași DevOps team on New Year’s Eve, the 31st of December. The guys in Iasi were already dressed to leave for a party, but we were all happy and excited because despite all the challenges we were ready! You could feel the pride and excitement of everyone involved. We understood that this important moment was the result of a lot of hard work and strong determination. It showed how dedicated we were to achieving excellence and going beyond what was expected.

Eight years later the project is still running, the Cluj team continues the development of the product, and the Iasi team is responsible for the operations. I think that the longevity and success of this project serve as a testament to the power of collaboration, determination, and unwavering passion within the Yonderists. It is a shining example of what can be achieved when teams unite under a common goal and channel their collective expertise toward overcoming challenges. From that night onwards, our shared journey was one of constant growth and continuous improvement.“
