Two of Yonder’s collaborations have won a Computable Award

Yonder clients winning ComputableAwards 2015On Tuesday 3 November 2015, the annual Computable Awards gala evening was held at the Jaarbeurs in Utrecht. The awards were announced during a spectacular ceremony filled with entertainment. Four of Yonder’s projects were nominated: LARS, iGeboorte, Quli and Port of Rotterdam. A nomination is by itself already a great accomplishment. They were selected by a jury of peers, which means that the projects stand out and have an impact in our world or on our everyday lives. Yonder is very proud that two nominations have won the award in their category:

LARS in the category IT project of the year in education and,
Quli in the category IT project of the year in healthcare

LARS is an initiative by PinkValley. PinkValley is the innovation think-tank of PinkRoccade (Local Government and Healthcare), and Yonder is the development partner of PinkValley. It is an idea by Patrick Nelen, whose son Lars has down syndrome and goes to a special school. Normally Lars goes to school in a special bus, but often parents will bring their children to school themselves. The app makes it possible for parents to pick up other children along their route and connect the social and educational lives of these children. An app that increases efficiency, self-sustainability and citizen participation. As Jurriaan Piek, the MD of Publiekszaken of PinkRoccade Local Government says: “LARS is a perfect example of innovation with the right question as starting point: ‘Which frustration can we solve?’ Winning the Computable Award confirms it.”

Quli stands for Quality of Life. It is a platform created to give an impulse to the use of e-health by civilians. The platform, started at the beginning of 2013, is an initiative by five care providers. It is based on three pillars: a secure social network, a personal healthcare dossier and an open source app store, where apps can be placed to support the client. Ordina is responsible for the development and Yonder co-develops for Ordina. The platform has been nominated as it is pioneering in the way it combines social media and e-health and as it is uniquely designed for the target audience. It also has a great impact on the way care is provided.

Congratulations to the winners LARS and Quli!

And congratulations to the Port of Rotterdam and iGeboorte. Being nominated by the jury out of so many projects is a great recognition.
