R&D Risk Score

We have developed a new service this year, which can help in reducing technical debt massively, the R&D Risk Score – Technical Debt Model. We created a measuring and reporting tool to quantify the impact of technical debt on the R&D budget and ratio.

The tool focuses on a thorough investigation into the technology’s capabilities. It looks into aspects such as code, technology, and quality debt – essential elements for the success of any software product. In Constellation, we have applied this model successfully to companies within the Vela and TSS Groups, and our clients have reaped the benefits.

Technology DD

This month’s newsletter focuses on our Technology DD service and pre- and post-acquisition support. During the last years, Constellation companies have involved Yonder in acquisition processes. As a result, we have conducted over 70 Technology DDs for Vela, Harris, and TSS.

The Technology DD service provides the acquiring company with a valuable means of securing investment in the long term. One of the most significant risks in the M&A process is the unknown status of hidden technology and processes debt other than what can be seen from the surface. Our Technology DD is a tool to discover and understand the company’s technical challenges and development processes. And it provides insight into overcoming these technical challenges, linking it firmly to post-acquisition support.
