Your mission and focus:
To understand the business context when planing testing and quality related actions
To be responsible for planning, writing and executing test scripts
To review and translate functional requirements and specifications into documented test cases
To prepare test data, execute test cases and report defects, define severity and priority for each defect
Maintain and improve the test infrastructure
Ensure errors are identified, reported and fixed by development team
Find ways to improve the testing process and mitigate testing risks
Be a quality advocate inside the project / team
Stay up-to-date with the popular testing tools and have the overview of the business domain
You will get to play with/Things you will do on a daily basis:
Manual testing
Ranorex – automate test-cases that you wrote and add them to a nightly run
Investigate nightly results on Ranorex suites and report bugs or fix outdated suites
RTC– used for versioning your Ranorex tests and project management
Splunk – used for analysing application logging
SoapUI
Nice to have’s/ for the future:
Postman for API Testing REST services
Dbeaver – used for database queries
SQL queries
Selenium tests with Junit and Graddle
Jenkins for continuous integration on Selenium tests
Requirements
Good understanding of business and functional requirements
Good understanding of Testing process and methodology
Understanding of main notions about web concepts, data bases, programming/scripting languages
